Custom Furniture Order Checklist: What to Confirm Before Ordering

A clear customization request separates what you want from what has already been confirmed. A reference colour, room plan or upholstery preference helps explain the idea, but it is not yet an agreed manufacturing specification. Keep the selected product model visible throughout the discussion.

PANYU's NEST, RIVE and MOXU collections support customization and orders from 1 piece. The suitable options, final materials and production dimensions are confirmed with your quotation. Use this checklist to prepare the conversation and identify the details that still need an answer before ordering.

Define the change and the reason for it

Begin with a model code or product link. Explain whether the request concerns overall size, colour, upholstery, storage use or another detail. A reason such as a restricted wall length or a preferred seating arrangement helps distinguish an essential requirement from a visual preference.

Attach a measured sketch when space matters. Mark the dimensions that must be maintained and explain which parts may change. If you send a reference image, identify the feature you want to discuss rather than assuming the whole image is a specification for the selected model.

Confirm dimensions, appearance and materials separately

Website design dimensions support initial planning; final production dimensions need confirmation with the quotation. Check the overall dimensions and any practical measurements that matter to you, such as seating position, shelf use, clearance or the space needed to open a door.

Confirm the actual materials and finishes rather than inferring them from a wood-toned or stone-like appearance. A screen colour is a reference, not a complete finish specification. Ask what colour or upholstery information can be used to agree the selected option and how that choice will be recorded.

Build one agreed specification list

Keep the quotation and the specification discussion aligned. When a detail changes, identify the affected model and ask for the current description to be updated. Avoid leaving essential choices scattered across several messages or different versions of a drawing.

  • Model and quantity for every piece, including any mixed selection.
  • Final agreed dimensions and the version of the drawing or reference used.
  • Confirmed material, finish, colour and upholstery description where applicable.
  • Any remaining open item, and what must be confirmed before the order proceeds.

Ask about packaging and checks without assuming availability

Discuss how the furniture is to be packed and whether any assembly is required. Ask for the package count, packed dimensions and weight when needed for delivery planning. These are order-specific details to confirm, not figures to derive from the product's design dimensions.

If samples, additional product information or inspection are important to you, ask whether they can be arranged for the selected product and what the conditions would be. Confirm any associated cost, timing and scope. Do not assume a sample, a particular test or an inspection service is automatically provided.

Resolve the purchase and delivery details together

Send the destination and target arrival date with the customization brief. Ask for the product price, currency, payment arrangements and the expenses included in the quotation. Confirm production time separately from transport time, and ask whether a requested change affects either the price or the schedule.

Before proceeding, check that the quoted selection matches the latest specification list and that open questions are answered. For NEST, RIVE and MOXU, single-piece, set and mixed orders are possible; purchasing conditions for other products should be discussed separately. A precise brief makes the next conversation more useful, but does not replace the final quotation confirmation.
